Description
Shri Swami Samarth (also known as Sri Akkalkot Swami Samarth) is revered as an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya, following the footsteps of the fifteenth-century saint Shrimad Narasimha Saraswati. According to the sacred Shri Gurucharitra, Shrimad Narasimha Saraswati entered mahasamadhi in Kardalivana in 1458 and remained in samadhi for over 300 years. Legend has it that a woodcutter accidentally struck the tree covering the samadhi, awakening the saint, who then traveled across India, offering guidance, blessings, and relief from suffering.
This divine personality is now worshipped as Shri Swami Samarth, the savior of devotees’ pain and troubles, believed to remove obstacles and bring peace, happiness, and fulfillment.
