Description
This Brown Natural Narmada Banalingam is a sacred and naturally formed Shivling, seated on a handmade Narmada stone Jaldhari (Yonibase). Each piece is unique in color and texture, reflecting its natural origin and spiritual purity.
The Narmada River is one of the five holiest rivers of India and holds immense importance in Hindu scriptures. It is frequently mentioned in the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and various Puranas. Entire sections such as the Rewa Khand of the Vayu Purana and Skanda Purana are devoted to describing the divine origin, glory, and significance of the river—hence the Narmada is also known as Rewa.
According to a revered legend, Lord Shiva meditated so deeply that divine perspiration flowed from his body, forming a sacred tank that later emerged as the holy river Narmada. Because of this belief, stones found in the Narmada River—especially Banalingams—are considered extremely auspicious and self-manifested (Swayambhu).
Ideal for home temple pujan, Abhishek, daily worship, Shravan rituals, and Mahashivratri, this Narmada Banalingam with Yonibase brings devotion, peace, and spiritual energy into your sacred space.
